2024 saw the successful completion of Phase 1— critical infrastructure improvements to the chapter house. Thanks to the generous contributions of our alumnae, we were able to renovate all the bathrooms, make vital repairs to the plumbing and electrical systems, and install a new HVAC system, which significantly improved climate control throughout the building. We are incredibly grateful for the more than 400 KU Theta alumnae who donated or pledged more than $2 million of support—these commitments will cover the costs of Phase 1!
With Phase 1 complete, we are thrilled to announce the next phase: a complete remodel of the second and third floors, transforming the current bedrooms into sleep-study rooms that offer modern, functional spaces to better meet the needs of our members. Construction is scheduled for summer 2026. We will:
- Upgrade our sleep-study rooms to create a more functional, aesthetically pleasing, and restful environment.
- Modernize the design and amenities to better support our members’ academic, social, and personal needs.
- Preserve the legacy of the sorority while ensuring that the house remains a vibrant and welcoming space for generations to come.
An additional investment of $3.5 million is needed to bring this essential renovation to life.
